General
This warranty is effective for all Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. products manufactured on or after July 1, 2006. Any previous warranties will continue to apply to products manufactured prior to this date.
We warrant to the original owner for which the products and components identified below are initially installed, they will be free from defects in materials or workmanship as described. If any product or component provided is found to be defective, we will, at our sole discretion, either repair replace or refund the defective product or component as outlined.
In the event that you sell your residence or it becomes occupied by someone other than the original owner, this warranty may be transferred by registering the change in writing with our office.

Insulated Glass
Voyageur Door & Window Ltd., warrants all insulated glass glazed in assembled products, by it or one of its authorized dealers from failure of the air seal due to defects in material or workmanship for period of Twenty (20) years from the date of purchase. The customer will be responsible for the cost and arrangement of installation, repainting, refinishing or similar activities involved in replacement of glass. Sealed units provided loose for use other than glazing into Voyageur Door & Window products will be warranted for Five (5) years F.O.B. Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. If the replacement insulating glass unit is supplied only, and not installed by Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. or one of its authorized dealers the warranty becomes null and void thereafter.
Twenty (20) year limited warranty is as follows:
1-10 years, no charge
11-15 years, 50% off list price
16-20 years, 25% off list price
Based on list price at time of claim
Visual Quality Standards: As glass is a construction material, the current visual quality standard is based on viewing at a 90-degree angle, under normal viewing conditions and at a minimum distance of twelve (10) feet. Defects must be within the normal viewing area, which is 80% of the center area of the glass.

uPVC Frames
Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. warrants for a period of Twenty-Five (25) years from date of purchase, that uPVC components will not crack, blister, peel, warp or fade unduly. Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. will, at its sole discretion replace, repair or refund, components that are found in the manufacturer's opinion to have defects in either workmanship or material. Voyageur Door and Window Ltd. will not be responsible for installation, repainting or refinishing work associated with the replacement of these items.

Roto Frank of America Hardware
Products are warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the life of the product Ten (10) years. This warranty does not cover any product that has been abused, misused, worn out, altered, used for a purpose other than that for which it was intended or in a manner inconsistent with any instructions regarding its use.

Steel Insulated Doors
Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. warrants a limited warranty on steel door panels against defect, warpage or error in workmanship for Ten (10) years from date of invoice. Within that period the manufacturer will, in its sole discretion, replace, repair or refund the defective material. Voyageur Door and Window Ltd. will not be responsible for installation, repainting or refinishing work associated with the replacement of these items. Door warpage is considered a defect when the deflection at uniform temperature exceeds 8mm or 5/16 of and inch, providing the door is manufactured with standard lock and hinge preparations. Steel door slabs must be finished (coated/painted) within six months from the date of purchase, or this warranty shall be void. Steel door slabs are provided with a factory-primed finish, which may exhibit colour variations and/or minor imperfections.

Fiberglass Doors
Voyageur Door & Window Ltd. warrants a limited warranty on fiberglass door panels against any defects in material or workmanship that may unreasonably affect performance for a period of Twenty-Five (25) years from date of invoice. Within that period the manufacturer will, in its sole discretion, replace, repair or refund the defective material. Voyageur Door and Window Ltd. will not be responsible for installation, repainting or refinishing work associated with the replacement of these items.

This warranty does not cover or protect

• Glass Breakage/Stress Cracks are not warranted whatsoever the cause. Case by case consideration may be given to glass breakage occurrences within the first year from date of purchase but are not to be construed as being warranted.
• Insulated glass installed in high moisture environments, such as swimming pool enclosures or greenhouses.
• Insulated glass installed in sloped glazing.
• Damages arising out of or because of mishandling or improper installation by others.
• Normal wear and tear and natural weathering of surfaces and/or finishes.
• Misuse or abuse and damage caused by failure to provide proper maintenance.
• Alteration or modification to the window (e.g. customer applied tints or films, paint finishes, security systems).
• Any cause beyond our control (e.g. fire, flood, fire or other acts of nature).
• Flaws in building design or construction.
